How Does CK Work?

Before CK Treatment

Long-sightedness occurs when the eyeball is too short or the cornea is too flat, causing images to be focussed behind the retina instead of directly on the retina.

Symptoms include difficulty reading menus, price tags, a computer screen or driving at night. Long-sighted patients may also experience eye fatigue at the end of the day or when reading in poor light.

After CK Treatment

CK uses the controlled release of radiowave energy, instead of a laser, to reshape the cornea so that images are focussed directly on the retina.

The Procedure

1. CK, which takes less than three minutes, is performed in our state of the art clinic. Anaesthetic eye drops are applied to numb the eye and ensure the procedure is painless.

2. A circular treatment pattern is imprinted on the cornea using rinse-away ink to guide the doctors treatment.

3. Using a probe thinner than a human hair, radiowaves are applied in a circular pattern to shrink small areas of corneal tissue

4. The circular treatment pattern acts like a belt tightening around the cornea, increasing its overall curvature to correct your vision.
